Coaster Final Product

RENDER:

Final Product:

Reflection: I used the Oak material because I wanted a natural feel to the coaster. Since butterflies are out of season, I decided that any bug can be used in the coaster. I'm not completely done at the moment on the coaster, but I will upload the final product tomorrow when I put it all together. I will have a FULL reflection when the final product is complete.

Butterfly Specimen Coaster

For this project, I am making a butterfly specimen coaster. I start by using lines to draw a design for the bottom of the coaster. Going for a graphic design that would catch the eye of someone who loves the environment and art.

I also gave the top a fun and curvy rim where I'll be pouring in my epoxy resin, adding dimension to the coaster. I made the middle layer big enough so a butterfly specimen would fit inside without cramping or size complications.

I set out each layer for printing, making it easy to do and eliminating potential complications. Then, in Rhino, I put all the pieces together so that I know what the result is going to look like.

Overall I'm very impressed by my skills to design something fun and artistic using a 3D modelling program.

PB's Castle

Princess Bubblegum's Castle From Adventure Time (Coloured)

Reflection: Adventure Time was my absolute favourite show growing up, and when I heard that we were doing castles in Rhino 8, I was pretty excited. I used textures I found online for free to do the more complicated parts of the castle, and different texture types to really make it come to life. I'm really proud of how Princess Bubblegum's castle came out. The only thing that I would do if I had more time I would make unique houses to bring together.
